🌿 The Bamboo Riverbank Restoration Project

Overview:

Makena dreamed of a greener world where rivers ran clean and communities thrived alongside nature. Through this flagship project, we’re rehabilitating degraded riverbanks by planting bamboo and indigenous trees. The goal: protect water sources, reduce erosion, and create sustainable jobs for local youth.

What We’ve Achieved:

Restoring a riverbank with the bamboo project.

  • Youth groups trained in bamboo propagation and maintenance.
  • Partnerships formed with local county environmental officers.

Current Gap:

  • Restoring more rivers in our communities using the help of planting Bamboo
  • More volunteers for planting and community mobilization.

How You Can Help:

🌱 Donate to sponsor seedlings or tools
🌍 Volunteer for upcoming planting events
